Another season, done. Sadly.

Last year hurt. A lot. This year, not nearly as much.

In 2007, the Mets were the best team in the National League throughout the season and struggled in September to one of the worst collapses in history. In 2008, the Mets were an inconsistent and severely injury-plagued team that stayed in contention into the final weekend because of a weak cluster of National League teams (outside of Chicago, that is). The National League’s only chance in the World Series may be the Cubs.

It’s gonna happen!

More later.
